Shirt lettering falling off?

My boyfriend and I bought the same band t-shirt a while ago. The screenprinting isn't really the best quality. He's already washed his, and some of the lettering came off along with it. Obviously, I'm feeling a little hesitant on washing mine.

Now, other than just washing it manually, or on a gentle as possible cycle.. I was wondering if there was some kind of protective spray I could use? I know they have them for more solid craft-related stuff, but when it comes to fabric, I don't know. Google didn't help. Ideas?

no protective spray that I know of, but you can get fabric glue and put his back on.as for yours...hand wash and hang to dry. It will keeps its colors brighter anyway:)
