Kauai Bicycle

Cycling round Hawaii?
I plan to visit Hawaii in July/August/September this year and would like to see the islands mainly by cycling round. I know the Big Island is approx 220 miles in circumference, and would be a big challenge, but the other islands are smaller and I wonder if cycling would be more practical there? Does anyone have experience of cycling in Hawaii? Ideally we would like to go to Molokai and Kauai (i.e. avoiding the most commercial parts of the islands) and plan to do some farm-based work there and stay for a couple of months, moving around from farm to farm. We wonder what the practicalities are of seeing the islands by bicycle, like can you take your bike on inter-island ferries, can you buy a bicycle there for fairly cheap, and whether the terrain would allow for it to be done easily? Any advice welcome, thanks.
I'd say the best place for you to go cycling would be on Molokai. Not a big population everyone is friendly and it's a lot of flatlands with the exception of some mountains. The residents are friendly and it's a quiet, quaint island.
