Rollerblading is great fun for people of all ages and skill levels, providing a low cost pastime that will improve your fitness and stamina levels. You only need minimal equipment to get started and then you just keep practising until you are an expert. Protective wear is essential, especially at first as you will probably have a few tumbles initially. Use pads to protect your elbows, knees and head as these are where you will be most vulnerable.

The first, most important step is to buy your rollerblades from a reputable store. Select the speed carefully if you are a beginner as you don't want a fast pair. The speed will be on the wheels and 70mm or lower is the best option to start. Rollerblades should have brake pads under the wheel and when you try them on they should feel comfortable. How come Black women can rollerblade, but not ice skate?

This girl said it is because I am pinky that I know how to skate. What did she mean by that?
That is just one Black lady out of millions.

thats a somewhat false stereotype but as for the truth in the statement most black communities use rollar skating not ice skating. you can rollar skate almost anywhere but you need safe ice to ice skate.
