Ed Hardy Clothing - Tattoo Artistry Meets Urban Fashion
When it comes to clothing that's for the present and represents the trends of the street, Ed Hardy heads the pack. Madonna, Kanye West, Fergie, Britney Spears, Jessica Alba, Fabolous and Shakira are just a little sampling of many celebs who have been spotted wearing Ed Hardy clothing. This trend setting brand got its start in 2004, when Don Ed Hardy was approached by fashion designer Christian Audligier to form a line based around the famous tattoo artist's designs.
As a tattoo artist, Don Ed Hardy has worked tough to elevate tattooing into a form of art and by many ; he is regarded as the best living tattoo artist around. In printmaking from the San Francisco Art Institute. Hardy originally started producing clothing based round his tattooing designs in 2002. However , it took a pairing with the feted Christian Audigier in 2004 to make the brand famous and trendy.
The French designer also contributed to the success of American Outfitters, Levi's and Diesel brands as well as making a signature brand that bears his very own name.
In just one or two years, Christian has been able to turn Ed Hardy into a major success. The brand's success is tied to its street edge, with all its tattooed photographs created by Hardy. Hardy mixes punk style with embroidery, splash-ink and crystals woven into designs to make its t-shirts which are the brands signature item.
more than a fashion line, the brand has become a lifestyle trend. Hardy's attention grabbing gorgeous tattoos remain a fixture for the line.
Today the Ed Hardy brand is a favourite among the youth culture for its vintage complex style tattoo, bold colours and high street fashion. Those that wear Ed Hardy clothing know they will stand out from the bunch. Fans of the brand also enjoy expressing themselves thru tattooed clothing instead of having to tattootheir bodies. For ladies the brand offers a tricky but female look, while men appreciate its edgy rock star appeal.

Anyone know of any upcoming punk shows in the Philly area?
I will be visiting the Philly/DC area from the 18th-20th this month. I would love to see a great show as a "tourist" in another state. Are there any punk/hardcore/psycho-billy shows happening during the time in that area? Just to give you an idea I'm into Bouncing Souls, Dropkick, Horror Pops, Tiger Army, etc.
Oh! And a heads up on any awesome tattoo artists in the area would be much appreciated also. Thanks!
